Carlo Aonzo
Carlo Aonzo est un interprète de mandoline italien de renommée mondiale. Il enseigne au Conservatoire de Musique G. Frescobaldi de Ferrare, et a joué en tant que soliste dans le monde entier avec plusieurs institutions prestigieuses comme l’Orchestre Philharmonique de La Scala à Milan (Italie), la Philharmonie de San Petersbourg (Russie) et le Carnegie Hall à New York. Il est souvent invité en tant que directeur musical et professeur par les plus importantes institutions internationales de mandoline, à savoir CMSA (Classical Mandolin Society of America) et FAME (Federation of Australasian Mandolin Ensemble).
En tant que chercheur, il a collaboré avec le New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians et a donné des conférences dans des institutions renommées telles que l’Université Waseda de Tokyo, le Panama Guitar Festival, le Dartmouth College, l’Université St John’s à New York, l’Université de Boston ou encore le National Musée des instruments à Rome.
Depuis 2006, il dirige l’International Italian Mandolin Accademia. Il possède une large discographie tant sur la musique classique que sur d’autres genres musicaux.
Carlo Aonzo is a worldwide known Italian mandolin performer, he teaches at the Conservatory of Music “G. Frescobaldi” of Ferrara, he has played as soloist in all continents for several prestigious institutions like the Philharmonic Orchestra of La Scala in Milan (Italy), the Philharmonia of San Petersburg (Russia) and the Carnegie Hall in New York. He is often invited as musical director and visiting faculty by the most important international mandolin institutions namely CMSA (Classical Mandolin Society of America) and FAME (Federation of Australasian Mandolin Ensemble).
As a researcher, he has collaborated with the New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians and has given presentations in such renowned institutions, as Waseda University of Tokyo, Panama Guitar Festival, Dartmouth College, St. John’s University in New York, Boston University and National Instrument Museum in Rome.
Since 2006 he directs the International Italian Mandolin Accademia; he boasts a wide discography both on classical music and on other musical genres.
